Behavioral Health

Championing hope, healing and recovery

Behavioral health is the cornerstone of our overall well-being. It influences physical wellness, relationships, emotions and how we see the future in front of us.

The need for high-quality behavioral health care continues to soar. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports high rates of mental health challenges in adults, youth and children, such as depression, anxiety and other severe or diagnosable conditions.

The Pacific Northwest is no exception. In 2024, MultiCare Behavioral Health Network — comprised of MultiCare Behavioral Health, Navos and Greater Lakes Mental Healthcare — served nearly 40,000 clients and patients. Yet less than half of people receive the treatment and care they need, according to the National Institute of Mental Health.

By providing a wide range of behavioral health services — including early intervention, school-based care, primary care integration, neighborhood clinics, substance use disorder (SUD) recovery, inpatient treatment and more — help and hope are always within reach.

MultiCare Behavioral Health patient Stephen Soran started transforming his life through therapy thanks to collaborative care, a donor-supported model that places therapists within the primary care setting.

“My mental health today is a total 180 from where it was,” he shares. “For the donors and the people who choose to support mental health … your help is saving families, saving lives, and I can’t thank you enough.”

Philanthropy is critical to expanding access and removing barriers to behavioral health. Your support makes exceptional mental health care possible for everyone in our communities, from South Puget Sound and King County to the Inland Northwest. Together, we can ensure our neighbors and loved ones have somewhere to turn in their time of need.
